PCC and Intel Corporation look forward to hosting Latina high school students in grades 11-12 (juniors and seniors) for a fun, interactive day exploring STEM careers and educational opportunities. We will have hands-on activities and opportunities to meet and speak with successful Latina college students and professionals. Join us to learn what it takes to be an engineer, scientist or a technical professional. Complimentary lunch will be provided. Seats are limited and individual student registration is required.

2025 Hermanas Conference Keynote Speaker: Sonia Camacho

Sonia grew up in Salem and obtained a B.S. in Computer Science Systems (2021) and a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science (2022) from Oregon State University. Sonia started working as an engineer at Nike in 2022.
Throughout her academic career, Sonia began documenting her passion and struggles as a Latina woman in STEM. Through social media, Sonia has been able to grow her online presence to inspire and encourage the next generation of underrepresented students. She also hosts “Cuéntame con Sonia Camacho,” a bi-weekly Latinx podcast that features the stories of inspirational individuals from our community.
Sonia will join us to share her journey and inspire you.
